Anti theft vehicle immobilising systems. Tiny devices blocking the engine and other systems of the vehicle by means of a digital command.
These new types of immobilisers were invented some years ago. It’s a CAN immobiliser; the block is made via the CAN bus (Controller Area Network of the vehicle), so no circuit is physically cut off and there is no need for electrical re-wiring.
Depending on the brand and model of the car, it is able to lock: engine, gearbox, accelerator pedal, etc. The device provides a very high level of protection even when the thief holds the key or copies the keyless key.
Authentication is done automatically through a dedicated smartphone application (using an encrypted Bluetooth connection) or by pre-programmed key sequences in the car (steering wheel, pan, air conditioning, esp, etc.). There is available Anti-Hi-Jack mode. (please note: Anti Hi-Jack is not available on all vehicles)

SMART SECURITY FEATURES
BLUETOOTH SMART AUTHORISATION
To start driving the owner needs to pass authorisation by means of a small waterproof wireless tag or smartphone with Autowatch Key App. Please Note: range can reach up to 10m so it not always recommended.
PIN-TO-DRIVE AUTHORIZATION
Additional authorisation provides reliable protection against hijacking; enhancing security functions of the factory security. Driving away of the vehicle is allowed only after entering an individual PIN-code with car buttons (on steering wheel, etc).
INVISIBLE ENGINE BLOCKING***
Unique patented iCAN technology guarantees reliable protection by hidden engine blocking through a factory digital CAN bus. (The Pro Versions also add an additional level of security by adding an extra analogue immobilisation circuit)
This is generally offered by the more professional Installation companies like ourselves.
VALET MODE
Service/Valet mode means the disarm sequence is never compromised as the security device is completely disarmed when in this mode. (this feature will disable if the vehicle is driven over 30 mph constantly for 15 mins and then when the ignition is switched off, this will cause the system to exit valet mode. This will then require the disarm process to restart the vehicle and will then once again be in its security active state.
Otherwise, when receiving the vehicle back the normal procedure to exit valet mode would require the pin code button push sequence to be re-entered.
Important notes: We are at the mercy of phone manufacturers and operating system providers (Apple and Android). We have thoroughly tested our products on as many devices as possible but a software updates might change how the phone function uses Bluetooth and could interrupt the functions of the Starline installation. This sometimes happens at the first release of a major iOS update and subsequently gets fixed as minor updates follow. Always use the app as a convenience feature and not the primary disarm method. NEVER DELETE THE APP FROM YOUR PHONE. Always remember your disarm sequence and ALWAYS have access to your emergency code. Be aware that some phones facilitate the App to go into sleep mode therefore the App needs to be reawakened or the bluetooth on your device needs to be switched off for 10 seconds or so to reconnect the App to the device.
***NOT all vehicles are able to immobilise on the can and in this case an anolouge immobiliser cut would be used
