To start driving the owner needs to pass authorisation through a small waterproof wireless tag or smartphone with StarLine Key App (available for iOS and Android smartphones with Bluetooth 4.2 version and above). The range of the bluetooth tag or the smartphone is fully adjustable.
PIN-TO-DRIVE AUTHORISATION
Additional authorisation provides reliable protection against hijacking; enhancing security functions of the factory security. Driving away of the vehicle is allowed only after entering an individual PIN-code with car buttons (on steering wheel, etc).
INVISIBLE ENGINE BLOCKING***
Unique patented iCAN technology guarantees reliable protection by hidden engine blocking through a factory digital CAN bus. (The Starline Pro also adds an additional level of security by adding an extra analogue immobilisation circuit)

ANTI-HIJACK *
StarLine protects against theft and hijacking with safe engine blocking in motion if tag is not detected. This function is available with speed detection in CAN or with use of R6 relay module (only recommended on certain vehicles).
CONVENIENT SERVICE
MOTION DETECTION
StarLine will block an engine by motion detection if owner did not pass authorisation. This function allows correct remote engine start without security disarming.
DISARM SEQUENCE
Disarm sequence via buttons on the steering wheel /dash or by the tag or the owner's smartphone being present and within working range.
HANDS-FREE MODE
StarLine will disarm the security when the owner approaches their car with the wireless tag detection area when you are within range.
VALET MODE
Service / Valet mode means the disarm sequence is never compromised (this feature can be set in 3 different ways depending on the customer's preference) as the security device is completely disarmed when in this mode. The disabling of valet mode can be programmed on installation depending on the customer's choice; ie set distance, speed or only disable valet mode if pin code button push sequence is re-entered.
SECURE KEYLESS-GO
Intelligent protection against relay attack with blocking the factory Keyless-Go system when the wireless tag or registered smartphone is away.
WATERPROOF WIRELESS TAG
Original waterproof design of the wireless tag ensures stable work will be ensured even after accidental water contact.
HOOD LOCK CONTROL (option)
Reliable engine compartment and wiring protection is provided by automatic hood locking with use of StarLine R6 wireless relay or StarLine R4 digital relay and optional StarLine L11+, StarLine L10 hood locks.
Important notes: We are at the mercy of phone manufacturers and operating system providers (Apple and Android). We have thoroughly tested our products on as many devices as possible but a software updates might change how the phone function uses Bluetooth and could interrupt the functions of the Starline installation. This sometimes happens at the first release of a major iOS update and subsequently gets fixed as minor updates follow. Always use the app as a convenience feature and not the primary disarm method. NEVER DELETE THE APP FROM YOUR PHONE. Always remember your disarm sequence and ALWAYS have access to your emergency code. Be aware that some phones facilitate the App to go into sleep mode therefore the App needs to be reawakened or the bluetooth on your device needs to be switched off for 10 seconds or so to reconnect the App to the device.

VALET MODE
Service/Valet mode means the disarm sequence is never compromised as the security device is completely disarmed when in this mode. (this feature will disable if the vehicle is driven over 30 mph constantly for 15 mins and then when the ignition is switched off, this will cause the system to exit valet mode. This will then require the disarm process to restart the vehicle and will then once again be in its security active state.
Otherwise, when receiving the vehicle back the normal procedure to exit valet mode would require the pin code button push sequence to be re-entered.

Autowatch Ghost 2/Starline i96s are a anti theft car system. They are tiny devices that block the engine and other systems of the car by means of a digital command.
These new types of immobilisers were invented some years ago; they are CAN immobilisers and the blocking code command is written via the CAN bus (Controller Area Network of the vehicle), so no circuit is physically cut off and there is no need for electrical re-wiring.
Depending on the brand and model of the vehicle, they are able to lock on the blocking code command: engine, gearbox, accelerator pedal, etc. These devices provide an extremely high level of protection even when the thief holds the key or copies the keyless key without your knowledge.
Authentication of ownership is completed automatically through a dedicated smartphone application (using an encrypted Bluetooth connection) or by pre-programmed personalised push sequence button procedure within the car (on the steering wheel, centre console buttons, driver door buttons, etc.). Also available is anti-hi-jack mode only on Starline but no longer available on Autowatch (please note: this anti hi-jack feature is not available on all vehicles).
